This year, in America, I will vote for the party that gave us freedom and justice in Guyana

Dear Editor,

Whether we want to acknowledge it or not, the two political parties in America represent different things to the people of Guyana.

One American political party openly fraternizes with people who have a reputation or are alleged to rig elections.  The other party has a history of fiercely protecting democracy in Guyana, with threats of revoking visas and installing sanctions when necessary.

As a dual citizen, for the first time in nearly forty years I will be voting for a different party in America’s elections.  I can no longer support a party that thinks that an ethnic race of people that votes nearly 73% of the time for them…are racists.  This year, in America, I will vote for the party that gave us freedom and justice in Guyana.

Additionally, a victory by our new favoured party, will ensure that some nefarious members of the Guyanese diaspora will…. have to get some good immigration lawyers.

Respectively submitted,
