A symbol of the Olympic Games, the five interlaced rings are displayed at each edition of the Games on an emblematic monument of the host city – the Eiffel Tower, for Paris 2024. While the rings represent the five continents united by Olympism, the six colors (blue, black, red, yellow, green and the white of the background of the original Olympic flag, drafted by Pierre de Coubertin) represent all nations – as at least one of these colors was present on the flag of all countries participating in the Olympics when the flag was created.
