KINGSTON, Jamaica — Several Masters degree programmes at Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) at the University of the West Indies (UWI) rank in the top 20 spots in the Eduniversal Best Masters ranking in Latin America.
Eduniversal is a global ranking and rating agency specialising in higher education, based in Paris, France. It ranks over 4000 masters programmes globally.
The Masters programmes are: Master of Business Administration – Part Time – Top 200 Best Masters in Executive MBA & MBA part time Global Ranking – Ranked Number 19;
Master of Business Administration – Full Time – Top 200 Best Masters in MBA full time Global Ranking – Ranked Number 15;
Master of Science in Accounting – Top 200 Best Masters in Accounting and Auditing Global Ranking – Ranked Number 10;
Computer Based Management Information System (CBMIS) – Top 200 Best Masters in Information Systems Management Global Ranking – Ranked Number 11; and
Master in Business Management – Top 200 Best Masters in General Management Global Ranking – Ranked Number 16;
Every year, Eduniversal publishes its official ranking for the 4000 Best Masters and MBA Programmes in 30 fields of studies globally, with recognition based on the measurement of three main criteria: The reputation of the programmes, that is they are known and recognized by recruiting companies; The salary of first employment after graduation; Placement of graduates in the best job positions on the market; Student satisfaction: by taking into account the feedback of students.
MSBM Executive Director, Professor Densil Williams, noted that the school, which is among the 1,000 best business schools in the world, “continues to uphold its high standards in offering value –added education to its students”.
“This round of good news comes following the re-accreditation of the school’s MBA and EMBA programmes by the prestigious Association of MBAs (AMBA) in 2014,” Professor Williams noted.
AMBA’s accreditation is internationally recognised as the global standard for all MBA, MBM and DBA programmes. AMBA accredits only two percent of MBA worldwide. These endorsements of MSBM programmes are assurances of the high quality of our product.
