They did the loop in a Meridian 459 power boat, which they bought after selling their houseboat. Now that they’re home, they plan to do the reverse to get a houseboat back.
The cruiser was outfitted with a master bedroom, a guest bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a laundry area.
The voyage itself cost a considerable amount. Meridian 459 power boats can cost over a quarter of a million dollars, plus the fuel, food, lodging and docking, which cost roughly $50,000.
But some of the once-in-a-lifetime sights were priceless. They witnessed the launch of the Artemis I from Kennedy Space Center, and experienced different cultures across America.
