The Mexican Men’s National Team looks to rebound from another disappointing CONCACAF Nations League finals defeat with some good performances in friendly matches ahead of the 2024 Copa America in the USA.
Mexico kicks off its busy summer schedule with a friendly match against Bolivia on Friday, May 31 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. These two nations last played to a scoreless draw at the 2015 Copa America in Chile.
Mexico is coming off a 2-0 demoralizing defeat, which saw the Mexican squad out-played all over the field. However, in front of a partisan Mexican crowd in Chicago, we’ll see if coach Jaime Lozano can bring back some confidence to his squad. Mexico star Hirving “Chucky” Lozano hasn’t scored for El Tri since a friendly match last fall against Ghana, and he’ll be looking to break his scoreless streak against Bolivia.

Mexico 2024 Summer Schedule
El Tri will play a minimum of six matches across the U.S. between friendly matches and the 2024 Copa America, potentially increasing to nine matches if they make the Copa America final.
Ahead of Copa America, Mexico will play a trio of friendly matches — against Bolivia in Chicago, Uruguay in Denver, Colo. and against Brazil in College Station, Texas to prepare for the big tournament. And then, Mexico has group stage matches against Jamaica, Venezuela, and Ecuador in Copa America, with the knockout round to follow if El Tri qualifies.
