Mexico vs Jamaica tickets in Houston: Cost, cheapest price to watch 2024 Copa America match

Mexico kicks off its 2024 Copa America journey against a foe it knows very well.

El Tri opens Copa America in the U.S. with a match against Jamaica at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The CONCACAF duel is set to kick off at 9:00 p.m. ET, 8:00 p.m. local on June 22.

The two nations last met at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which saw Mexico run away with a 3-0 win over Jamaica. El Tri will be hoping for a similar result to get off to the right foot, but it will require players like Hirving Lozano, Uriel Antuna, and Santiago Gimenez to start smashing in the goals.

Mexico will have some big chances to work out its attack ahead of Copa America, with friendly matches against Bolivia, Uruguay, and Brazil. It could also help coach Jaime Lozano find a preferred starting 11 and let them gain some chemistry together.

The home of the Houston Texans has a seating capacity of 72,220, meaning there should be plenty of tickets available for Houston-area El Tri fans to see their favorite national team in person.

Mexico 2024 summer schedule El Tri will play a minimum of six matches across the U.S. between friendly matches and the 2024 Copa America, potentially increasing to nine matches if they make the Copa America final.

Ahead of Copa America, Mexico will play a trio of friendly matches — against Bolivia in Chicago, Uruguay in Denver, Colo. and against Brazil in College Station, Texas to prepare for the big tournament. And then, Mexico has group stage matches against Jamaica, Venezuela, and Ecuador in Copa America, with the knockout round to follow if El Tri qualifies.
