Brazil start their 2024 Copa America preparations with a friendly clash against Mexico in Texas on June 8.
The Selecao are pushing to win the trophy in the coming weeks after losing out to arch rivals Argentina in the 2021 final on home soil.
Mexico are returning to the Copa America stage, after absences in 2019 and 2021, with El Tri reaching the quarterfinals back in 2016 — the last time this tournament was held on US soil.

Brazil vs. Mexico lineups, team news
Dorival Junior has omitted some eye-catching names from his Copa America squad with Manchester United midfielder Casemiro and Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus left out.
Manchester City goal keeper Ederson is missing through injury, with Neymar Jr a long term absentee, and Real Madrid trio Eder Militao, Vinicius Jr and Rodrgyo Goes will play a limited role after joining up late following their UEFA Champions League title win.
Brazil predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Alisson (GK) — Danilo, Marquinhos, Beraldo, Wendell — Guimaraes, Paqueta, Ederson Alavrez — Raphinha, Endrick, Vinicius Jr.
Brazil subs (9): TBC
Mexico head coach Jaime Lozano has also left some key names out of his Mexico squad, with veteran goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa the big absence. Mexico were thrashed 4-0 by Uruguay in their opening friendly warm-up, so Lozano may revert to a lineup that is closer to that which he will deploy in the Copa proper.
Mexico predicted XI (4-4-1-1 right to left): Malagon (GK) — Garcia, Montes, Vasquez, Arteaga — Chavez, Alvarez, E. Sanchez, Antuna Gimenez — Vega.
Mexico subs (9): TBC
Brazil vs. Mexico prediction
Mexico kicked off their Copa America preparations with a 4-0 defeat to Uruguay as Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez netted a hat trick against them in Denver.
Even with the likely limited game time for their Champions League winning stars, Brazil should prove too strong. Teenage superstar Endrick scored his first senior international goal as Brazil beat England at Wembley in March, and could again be involved here.
Prediction: Brazil 2-1 Mexico
