Alfastreet: "We see a renewed focus on classic features and comfort, with simplicity and a strong user experience in mind"

The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2024, held in Las Vegas last month, brought together industry leaders and innovators from around the world, drawing thousands of gaming professionals and enthusiasts.

Gaming manufacturer and supplier Alfastreet participated in the expo with a display of its latest electronic gaming innovations, including the new V-line roulette collection and compact gaming stations.

In an interview with Yogonet, CEO Tjaša Luin Peric shared insights on the company’s experience at G2E, its expanding market presence across Latin America, and the evolving trends shaping player and operator demands.

Reflecting on the event, how was Alfastreet’s experience this year?

The show has been very successful for us. We were able to meet all the customers we intended to connect with. It’s a significant event for us each year, especially since we have a considerable market in South America and a growing market in the U.S. For that reason, this show remains very important for us.

What were visitors to your stand most interested in learning about? Which products garnered the most attention?

Our best-selling products are our roulettes, including our compact roulettes and modular roulettes in the V-Line. This year, we presented an entirely new line, with all brand-new prototypes from the V-line collection, including the new single terminal Vision, Game pods, and Dice Tumbles. These new models were definitely among the most sought-after products we had on display.

What sets these new products apart from previous models? What innovations do they bring?

Our products generally offer excellent ergonomics and top-quality materials, but we’ve made additional improvements in user experience. We’ve enhanced the animations, added new options, and included special features that set these machines apart. They’re also designed for easier servicing and maintenance, with improved access to components like the bill acceptors.

You mentioned that Latin America is a strong market for Alfastreet. Which countries in the region are showing particular interest in Alfastreet’s products?

We have a lot of customers in Colombia, Panama, and Venezuela, to name some of our Latin American markets. At the moment, we’re well-established across Latin America, which has become one of our best-performing markets.

Speaking more broadly about the industry, what trends are you observing in terms of what players and operators are seeking?

It seems operators are shifting back to basics, focusing on simplicity and strong user experience—something easy for players to understand and operate. While the online market is growing, for land-based machines, there’s a renewed focus on classic features and comfort, so players can intuitively understand and enjoy the machines. It’s not so much about bringing something entirely different, but revisiting the basics with a modern touch.

As the year wraps up, what are Alfastreet’s expectations for the end of the year and looking ahead?

We’re fully booked for this year and hopeful for new orders early next year. We’re looking forward to showcasing the new line at ICE, where we can present the final versions of the prototypes we’re displaying here. By then, they’ll be completed, sales-ready models. There will also be new software features, additional games, and in-game features to reveal, expanding on the hardware upgrades we’re highlighting now.

So, we can expect some new elements when the line debuts next year?

Absolutely. Right now, we’re showcasing prototypes, but at ICE, we’ll have the full, finished line ready for market. There will also be some novelties in software and gameplay, as we’re working on adding new features in that area as well.
