Minerva Bunkering has completed the acquisition of Bomin USA.
The deal, closed on Friday (4 October), includes all of Bomin’s bunkering business in Norfolk, Virginia, Houston, and Panama. The acquisition, from Mabanaft’s head company, Germany’s Marquard & Bahls, includes partial ownership of four bunker barges.
Discussing the acquisition in Singapore with ship.energy CEO, Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, Minerva Bunkering CEO, Tyler Baron, said: ‘We are very pleased to have brought the Bomin USA business into Minerva Bunkering. It brings Minerva into a strategically important physical location, the US Gulf, but includes a portfolio of assets and a team with deep experience in operating in their markets.’
