Ipswich Town midfielder Julio Enciso will be assessed on a day-to-day basis after suffering a ‘mild trauma’ in his left knee.
That’s according to Versus, who report that the midfielder has undergone an MRI scan on his knee after picking up the injury in the draw with Aston Villa.
Enciso joined Ipswich on loan from Brighton in the January transfer window in search of regular playing time after falling down the pecking order for the Seagulls.
He’s featured regularly for Ipswich since his arrival, managing 11 minutes in a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool, 89 in the 2-1 loss to Southampton and then 17 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
He suffered a ‘minor trauma’ in his left knee in that game, with an MRI scan after that confirming as much.
His progress will now be monitored day to day by Ipswich as a result but particularly by Paraguay as they hope for him to be a part of the squads for clashes against Chile and Colombia in the next international break.
It appears there is not any undue concern about the injury at this moment in time, with Ipswich perhaps waiting and seeing how it develops first before making any determinations.
