With nine matchdays outstanding, World Cup and Copa America holders Argentina top the standings having won six games, drawn one and lost two so far with Colombia and Uruguay snapping at their heels.
Brazil have been one of the many erratic national teams in the qualifying process to date having lost four games, drawn one and won four with Peru (along with Chile), the two sides who are looking cast adrift and will need to start picking up points quickly if they are to fulfil any dreams of making a return to the World Cup.
