Chubb has appointed John Latter as its new head of claims for Chubb Overseas General (COG), with immediate effect.
Bringing 40 years of experience in the insurance sector, Latter will oversee Chubb’s claims operations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Far East.
He will be responsible for leading a team of 3,000 professionals and will continue to operate out of London.
Latter joined Chubb in 2017, having previously held senior claims roles at Zurich Insurance with UK and international responsibilities.
Formerly, as senior vice-president and claims director for Europe, Eurasia & Africa at Chubb, Latter headed strategic claims direction for aviation, casualty, energy, financial lines, marine and property.
Chubb Group executive vice-president and overseas general insurance president Paul McNamee said: “John exemplifies the technical expertise and the service culture of Chubb and I am confident he will build on this legacy through his leadership of our claims organisation internationally.
“Our claims organisation is a hallmark of Chubb, and we are confident John will continue to maintain our culture of high performance and service while ensuring we transform COG Claims to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
This October, Chubb appointed Mario Romanelli and Diego Sosa as regional presidents for South America and Northern Latin America, respectively.
Both will report to Paul McNamee.
Romanelli will handle operations in key South American markets and also manage the regional office in Miami.
Sosa will lead Chubb’s businesses in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and its operations in Panama and Puerto Rico.
