Rafael Campos clinched his maiden PGA Tour title and earned his Tour card for next season following a first career victory at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal GC.
Campos, 36, surged through the field with a blistering 9-under 62 on Saturday and he then put the finishing touches to his first PGA Tour title by closing with a solid 3-under 68.

The victory could not have come at a better time for Campos having started the week at 147th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings.Â
He also became a father on Monday.Â
Campos won by three shots on 19-under par.
America’s Andrew Novak was second on 16-under par, one shot clear of rising Belgian star Adrien Dumont de Chassart and America’s Mark Hubbard.
Campos becomes just the second player from Puerto Rico to win on the PGA Tour joining eight-time winner Chi Chi Rodriguez.Â

“It’s been an unbelievable week,” said an emotional Campos.Â
“This is the best week of my life.Â
“After such a bad year for everything to go my way at once, I’m just so happy and grateful for my team, my coaches, my sponsors, my family, my caddie did a great job today.
“I just can’t believe this happened to me today. I can’t believe I’m a PGA Tour champion, it’s something I’ve wanted to call myself all my life. I just can’t wait to call my family.”
Campos incredibly missed 13 of his last 14 cuts on the PGA Tour.Â
“This year I’ve struggled, such a bad year ball striking wise. I still believed in myself but this game is so hard when things are not going well it’s hard to become confident. Things have been so different this week, I am just so grateful to finish on top of the leaderboard.”
The win now ensures Campos’ playing privileges on the PGA Tour for next season.
He vaults from 147th to 80th in the FedEx Cup standings ahead of next week’s final regular season event at the RSM Classic.
The top 125 in the standings after next week will earn their cards for 2025.
