Barely a month after opening a delivery center in Puerto Rico, Indian IT services firm Prodapt Solutions planted its flag in Panama.

Chennai-based Prodapt stated that it will hire around 250 people in Panama.

The Panamanian office was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador Dr. Sumit Seth, who noted that Prodapt is the first Indian IT firm to establish a presence in the Central American country. India’s Junior Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, was also present at the event.

Prodapt employs more than 6,000 people globally, with over 4,500 of them working out of India.

The company has been expanding rapidly in the Americas. In April, it established an innovation center in Dallas, and in July, it launched a delivery center in Puerto Rico.

“The Panama delivery center is among our most strategic operations globally,” said Manish Vyas, president and CEO of Prodapt, who succeeded Harsha Kumar as CEO earlier this month.

Prodapt generates much of its revenue by developing and integrating technology solutions for telecommunications firms. The company claims that its technology solutions are used in more than 5 billion telecom devices.

In Panama, Prodapt aims to hire professionals with expertise in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

“Our aim is to provide AI-first offerings and solutions,” the company said in a press release.

Over the past year, Prodapt has repeatedly stated that it plans to go public and increase its annual revenue to US$1 billion within the next five years.
