A member of the Benin national team since 2004, Stephane Sessegnon has made 83 appearances for Benin, scoring 24 goals.
Sessegnon has taken part in two editions of the African Cup of Nations, in 2008 and 2010. On both occasions, Benin were knocked out at the group stage. He has also been involved in three World Cup qualifiers, in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
