St. Thomas Gains New Air Link to St. Kitts & Nevis as Cape Air Expands Service

ST. THOMAS — Virgin Islanders now have an additional travel option to their Caribbean neighbors as Cape Air introduces a new route between St. Thomas and St. Kitts & Nevis. Starting December 7, the regional carrier will operate flights four days a week, connecting St. Thomas to St. Kitts and Nevis.

The reintroduction of inter-Caribbean routes has been a focus for V.I. Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte, who praised the new services for enhancing regional connectivity.  “The return of the Cape Air route between St. Thomas and Anguilla further elevates the connectivity of the U.S. Virgin Islands and our neighbors throughout the Caribbean. The continued regrowth of inter-Caribbean routes aligns with our collective regional push to increase and enhance the cross-island travel experience for residents and visitors alike,” Boschulte stated at the time.

Cape Air has been a key player in the Caribbean aviation sector since 1998, offering frequent flights between various islands. The airline operates Cessna 402 aircraft, a nine-passenger twin-engine plane designed for short inter-island trips. With hubs in San Juan and St. Thomas, Cape Air currently runs over 80 daily flights to destinations including St. Croix, Tortola, Vieques, Nevis, Virgin Gorda, and more.
