From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, Latino contributions to America’s history and culture will be celebrated ranging from festivals to smaller events throughout the country. On Sept. 14, the eve of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Bookshop Santa Cruz will be hosting musician and educator Eugene Rodriguez as he discusses his new memoir “Bird of Four Hundred Voices: A Mexican American Memoir of Music and Belonging,” with local arts leader Consuelo Alba.
