Yoga Den is opening its second studio in America’s oldest City this weekend.
Located at 1580 U.S. 1, franchise owner Sara Heathcote will celebrate the grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 26, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, free yoga classes and thousands of dollars in giveaways.
Heathcote, an experienced yoga practitioner, purchased her first Yoga Den studio in World Golf Village, studio number two in Jacksonville, marking the St. Augustine location as studio number three. The Long Island native said Yoga Den’s philosophy offers a template of health and wellness.
“I knew there was a need in St. Augustine for a studio where all levels of classes are offered,” she said. “A place where you can be surrounded by a wonderful community of people that want to grow stronger and live longer.”
Yoga Den St. Augustine will offer a variety of classes suitable for every level, including their “proprietary” Mind-Body, Mind-Body Flow, Sun Power and Sun Power Flow, Restorative, Yin, Cool Power and Yoga Sculpt classes and teacher training programs.
Yoga Den’s studio walls are paneled with infrared heat panels for hot yoga and offers a teacher training program as well.
The grand opening begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. followed by complimentary yoga classes every hour on the hour beginning at 9 a.m. A chill asana guided Yoga Nidra will end the day’s schedule at 3 p.m. followed by a wine social at 4 p.m.
Giveaways include a month of unlimited yoga, meditation workshops, a 10-pack of classes, a Yoga Den swag bag and gift baskets filled with swag from local businesses. Yoga Den merchandise and memberships will be discounted, and the first 10 students to walk through the Den doors will receive a commemorative Yoga Den St. Augustine water bottle.
Yoga Den earmarks a propriety style of yoga that remains consistent across all studios. Founded in 2002 by Alyson Foreacre and headquartered in Jacksonville, there are 12 Yoga Den locations in Northeast Florida.
Touting a philosophy of “let the shape conform to you, not the other way around,” Yoga Den sidesteps judgment and encourages students to listen to their bodies. Go to https://yoga-den.com for more information on Yoga Den, or https://yoga-den.com/schedule/st-augustine for a class schedule.
“Yoga is a practice that grows, evolves and changes over time” notes St. Augustine’s Yoga Den website. “No expectations, just roll out the mat and enjoy the journey. More yoga, more peace.”
