Showers are expected in Grenada and St Vincent and the Grenadines due to an approaching tropical wave.
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services in its 6 am weather update on Friday said an advisory for a low risk of flooding is in effect and can be upgraded to a watch/ warning.
In its 72 hours weather outlook issued on Thursday, it said an approaching tropical wave is predicted to generate pockets of moderate to heavy showers rain and isolated thunderstorms from Friday afternoon.
It said due to the saturated nature of soils across the islands from previous rainfall events, there is a high probability of flooding and landslides occurring.
Meanwhile, the Grenada Meteorological Service says showers and possible isolated thunderstorms could affect the State of Grenada today as the morning progresses due to an approaching tropical wave.
A low chance of flooding/landslide are possible in areas prone, therefore a warning remains in effect.
