JetBlue to begin service to St Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG) this year ( 2024).
JetBlue will include St Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG) among its Caribbean destinations in 2024.
Carlos James, the island’s tourism minister, made the revelation during his state-of-the-tourist-industry presentation on Tuesday morning.
According to James, the government will announce at least one new airline in the coming weeks, with plans to join the destination by the end of the year.
“I can confidently state that we would have secured JetBlue to come to the destination this year, 2024. Of course, because to the talks, I will not reveal the other carriers, but I can confidently state that JetBlue will land in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2024.”
The St Vincent Times reported in July 2023 that JetBlue Airways, JetBlue Vacations, and Sandals Resorts International (SRI) were in high-level conversations, which was likely to result in increased airline flights to the region.
JetBlue already serves the majority of Sandals’ islands, but the negotiations were primarily about increasing flight frequency and introducing additional destinations, such as St Vincent.
JetBlue operates flights to Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Trinidad in the southern Caribbean.
JetBlue was founded in 2000 at JFK and has since grown to become a global, award-winning travel brand.
