Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines opened today, welcoming guests to a resort brimming with island inspiration and many Sandals ‘firsts’.
Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is the hotel brand’s 18th all-inclusive resort and first venture into this part of the Caribbean.
In each of the resort’s 301 rooms and suites, clients will be welcomed with an in-room signature cocktail of rum and coconut water. A ‘Sandals first’, the Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villas span two stories above the sea and offer dedicated perks like an exclusive table at Buccan. Some suites feature a media room, private pool or a fitness room with exercise bikes, yoga mats and a library of fitness classes.
Eleven culinary concepts include Buccan, an immersive family-style, open-air restaurant. Scrimshaw taps into the island’s abundant access to fresh seafood. Parisol, an open-air beach club and kitchen, serves food and drinks all day long. Imoro, a ‘grab-and-go’ concept, serves up healthy green bowls.
Three Jewels is one of five bars, offering a selection of 32 rums inspired by the destination’s 32 islands within 32 miles. More than two-thirds of the menu hones in on Eastern Caribbean distilled rums and music comes from a curated selection of hand-picked vinyls.
Clients have access to four pools including a 300-foot linear pool. Off-site, clients can embark on adventure – from exploring volcanic black sand beaches to sailing the seas and coming face-to-face with marine life via Sandals’ award-winning, unlimited scuba diving programme. The Red Lane Spa offers treatments that use the natural minerals found in volcanic sand.
Clients can enjoy guided kayak experiences to the Buccament Bat Caves and bikes for cycling around the resort. Interactive classes and tastings highlight the region’s agricultural heritage, and artisans bring forward soap making and handmade jewellery among other crafts. At night, the resort comes alive with sunset beach parties, rum tasting and movies under the stars.
