Sara to continue weakening over Central America

West Palm Beach, FLA. (WPEC) — Tropical Storm Sara will continue to produce heavy rain and tropical storm conditions across the Yucatan Peninsula. Up to 30 inches of rain is expected in Honduras and Guatemala, leading to the potential for flash flooding and mudslides in those area.

Once Sara moves into the Bay of Campeche, it will have weakened significantly and will likely fizzle out. Next week, as a front approaches, Sara will likely combine with the front to increase the chances of the Southeast seeing severe weather midweek.
