The post Superheaven Announce Comeback Album and 2025 North American Tour, Unveil Single “Cruel Times”: Stream appeared first on Consequence.
Superheaven have announced their first new album in 10 years. The self-titled LP from the Pennsylvania grunge revivalists is due out April 18th via new label home Blue Grape Music.
The new single “Cruel Times” — which marks the third track to be released from the album — can be streamed now and continues to mine throwback heavy alt-rock. Thick layers of guitar build out a shoegaze sound a la Swervedriver and HUM, cut through by the melodic vocals and soaring hooks of singer-guitarist Taylor Madison.

This week, Superheaven also unveiled a Spring 2025 North American tour in support of the new album. Headlining dates kick off April 27th in St. Louis and run through May 20th in Brooklyn, New York. Glare, Spy, and Prize Horse are set to open.
A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates is ongoing using the code DUET. General ticket sales start Friday (February 21st) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Superheaven released two LPs during its initial run — 2013’s Jar (initially issued under the band’s original moniker, Daylight) and 2015’s Ours Is Chrome.
While both albums have achieved cult status in the band’s scene, Superheaven may have gotten even more famous during their hiatus thanks to the viral success of their 2013 song “Youngest Daughter.” The track was just certified gold by the RIAA after making waves on TikTok and racking up over 134 million streams on Spotify alone.
