Canada will face Suriname in a two-legged quarterfinal of the Concacaf Nations League.
On Friday, the Canadian Men’s National Team revealed their 23-man roster for the Concacaf Nations League. In an attempt to advance to the Nations League finals in March 2025, Canada will play Suriname in a two-leg quarterfinal on November 15 and 19.
Tajon Buchanan, who suffered a leg fracture at the Copa América, is among the most prominent names to have made a comeback. Junior Hoilett, a seasoned winger, is also named in the squad.
On Tuesday, November 19, in Toronto, Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team will play Suriname in the Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal, marking their return to domestic competition. The eagerly awaited Quarterfinal series will be a crucial prelude to the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 2024–25 Concacaf Nations League FINALS.
Since September 21, Jonathan David has scored more goals than games, making him maybe the most effective striker in the world right now.
“We are looking forward to getting the group together again with the mindset that there is a trophy on the line,” said manager Jesse Marsch.
“We want to end 2024 the right way with two excellent performances against a competitive Suriname squad and continue building on our tremendous growth this past summer.”
Canada will go to the single-elimination Nations League semi-final in March if they prevail, which should be easy. Additionally, they will play the Suriname match to qualify for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will take place in the US the following summer.
