Although there is plenty of summer left, portions of New York State are waking up to a cool down that feels like fall!
The New York State Fair is just a few days away and many are planning their end of summer road trips. August is one of the most exciting months that is filled with outdoor events here in the Empire State.
But Mother Nature has had some other plans recently. Following a massive flood that swept across portions of New York State, the next issue is cooler temperatures that the National Weather Service is keeping an eye on.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York, MUCH cooler air has crept in.
The cooler air, cross over the warmer lakes is already producing some lake effect rain that has fallen over portions of Western New York.
As far as overnight lows, as of early on Tuesday morning, the low temperatures in the Adirondacks was around 52 degrees! It won’t be long before we get reports of the first frost!
But most people who have lived in New York State long enough welcome the cooler air and the change in temps. Fall in New York State is nearly perfect as we get the warm days, low humidity and cool nights that are ideal for a campfire!
