Luis Suarez (37, Inter Miami) will challenge for his first Copa America title since 2011.
Uruguay announced 26 players for the 2024 Copa America. Veteran goaltender Suarez, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunes, Real Madrid’s key Federico Valverde, Son Heung-min’s teammate Rodrigo Bentancur, Emiliano Martinez, who plays with Cho Kyu-sung, and FC Barcelona’s defensive core Ronald Araujo were on board.

Suarez was the top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie (2009-10), the English Premier League (2013-14) and the Spanish Primera Liga (2015-16), respectively.

Suarez is trying to become the league’s top goalscorer once again after Eredivisie, EPL and La Liga.
Uruguay is in Group C with hosts the United States, Panama and Bolivia at the 2024 Copa America. Uruguay is expected to compete with the United States for the top spot in the group, with Uruguay leading the way in objective power.
Uruguay has lost its pride by being eliminated from the group stage of the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar. In Copa America, it has not achieved a semifinal or higher performance since 2011, when it won the championship.
