My analysis
There’s no denying that man for man, Uruguay have more talent than Canada, especially with Alphonso Davies out of the lineup for the Canadians.
However, if you watched Uruguay’s semifinal game against Colombia, and the events that followed, one would argue that La Celeste’s collective motivation can come under question.
Not only did they fail to score against a 10-men Colombia side for 45+ minutes, they managed just three shots on goal, and then decided to storm the crowd in defense of some family members.
While that’s respectable, the chaos and emotional letdown ahead of this third-place game will be felt. That’s where the Canadians can swoop in and leave their mark in their first Copa America tournament.
The Canadians showed glimpses of excellent football at times, and if not for a lack of killer instinct in the final third, they may have written a different story. They’ll have to make do without Alphonso Davies at the back, but I do see this game setting up as a slower, low-scoring kind of game, one that suits Canada just fine.
With the motivational edge, the Canadians are the right side to back at this juicy price.

Jacob Shaffelburg has been a breath of fresh air since coming into the starting eleven for Canada, and I see no reason why he can’t drive the play in this contest.
His speed will be vital for the Canadian counter-attack, and he’s not afraid to take players on from a wide position, which means plenty of opportunity to cut inside and have a go.
