La Celeste and Los Cafeteros finished in the top spot in their sections with solid performances in all their matches. Marcelo Bielsa’s men have conceded only one goal since the Copa America started and have one of the best rosters in the soccer event.
They were held to a goalless draw after 90 minutes against Brazil in the quarterfinals and both teams needed a penalty shootout to decide the winner, with the Uruguaians coming out on top.
Meanwhile, Colombia have scored 11 goals and conceded two in the tournament. They had little trouble defeating Paraguay and Costa Rica in the group stage, while a draw against the Seleçao saw them take Group D’s top spot.
They had no mercy with Panama in the quarterfinals, as James Rodriguez & co thrashed their rivals 5-0, setting an interesting battle with Uruguay.
