PLDT’s wireless unit Smart Communication, Inc reported that they were able to maintain its lead in 5G roaming in 70 countries.
Smart mentioned that this feat was attained through its partnerships with 118 key operators around the world.

As of this writing, Smart tells that customers using their 5G SIMs and 5G-capable devices can enjoy live 5G roaming services in countries such as Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guam, Hungary, Northern Mariana Islands, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, the United States of America, US Virgin Islands, Uzbekistan, the Vatican, Vietnam, and Wales.

Smart also shared two steps to active roaming devices:
1. For Prepaid users, just text “ROAM ON” to 333, while for Postpaid users can call *888.
2. Select a country to book a roaming pack then press continue. After that, it will show different plans users may avail of.
Do note price per plan may vary depending on the country you’re in.
