The American women will also compete for gold this afternoon, as they impressed many fans in their qualifying heat. The American squad finished the race in first place, and they completed the event more than three seconds faster than their competitors.
Quanera Hayes, Shamier Little, Aaliyah Butler, and Kaylyn Brown were the four athletes that competed in yesterday’s race, so they will likely compete again this afternoon. Although, Team USA has multiple substitutes available to race if needed.
