Alabama football is about to secure the first recruiting class of the Kalen DeBoer era.
Starting Wednesday morning, committed members of Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class can sign and submit their national letters of intent to officially join the team ahead of next season.
Heading into the early signing period, DeBoer and the Crimson Tide have the No. 2 recruiting class in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings behind No. 1 Georgia and ahead of Ohio State, Texas and Auburn.
Alabama football has most of its 2025 recruiting class secured heading into the start of the early signing period including five-star quarterback Keelon Russell and five-star cornerback Dijon Lee at the top of the class.

No. 158 player in 2025 classNo. 8 TE in 2025 class
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound prospect will be a nice addition to the Crimson Tide’s tight end room which is heavy-loaded with talent and experience in seniors CJ Dippre, Robbie Ouzts and redshirt junior Josh Cuevas. He will be a pass catching threat with 71 receptions for 709 yards and nine touchdowns his senior year.
According to multiple reports from 247Sports and On3, Ty Haywood will not be a part of Alabama’s early signing day class Wednesday.
The five-star offensive tackle out of Denton, Texas, who has been committed to Alabama since July 14, is rumored to not be signing with the Crimson Tide during the early signing period with Michigan pushing for his services.
Alabama has signed four offensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting class: five-star Michael Carroll, four-star Jackson Lloyd, four-star Micah DeBose and three-star Mal Waldrep.
No. 17 player in 2025 classNo. 1 IOL in 2025 class
Alabama can do anything it wants with Michael Carroll. A five-star offensive lineman who primarily played guard at IMG Academy, Carroll stands at 6-foot-6, 315 pounds, very much the frame of a college-level offensive tackle. While Colorado reportedly pushed for Carroll late, he remains with the Crimson Tide as the centerpiece of its future offensive line.
No. 64 player in 2025 classNo. 9 CB in 2025 class
The 6-foot-0.5, 190-pound cornerback has been committed to the Crimson Tide since June and is from the California powerhouse Mater Dei High School, the former home of current Alabama cornerbacks Domani Jackson and Zabien Brown. McDonald joins five-star Dijon Lee in Alabama’s 2025 cornerback room. He also runs track and field at Mater Dei.
No. 2199 player in 2025 classNo. 8 P in 2025 class
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Asparuhov graded out as a five-star punter and a 4 ½ kicker per the Kohl’s Professional Camps. Asparuhov will be coming to the Capstone at a nice time, given current punter James Burnip will be out of eligibility following this season. Asparuhov’s father, Asen, is a former Lou Groza Award semifinalist in 2002 while playing at Fresno State.
No. 304 player in 2025 classNo. 34 LB in 2025 class
The second Mater Dei player to join Alabama’s 2025 class, Abduall Sanders Jr. is another athletic linebacker that could fill in multiple spots in Kane Wommack’s defense. Standing at nearly 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, Sanders projects as a Wolf linebacker along with Justin Hill, but has experience as an inside linebacker.
No. 44 player in 2025 classNo. 7 OT in 2025 class
With Jackson Lloyd, Alabama has one of the most college-ready offensive tackles in the 2025 class based on size alone, standing at 6-foot-7, 290 pounds with what 247Sports reports as a 80-plus-inch wingspan out of Carmel High School. A former three-sport athlete, including a successful career as a high school basketball center, Lloyd now will train exclusively as an offensive tackle at Alabama, which he committed to June 18.
No. 2 junior college player in 2025 classNo. 2 junior college DL in 2025 class
A former Oklahoma signee, Kevonte Henry comes to Alabama after two seasons at Cerritos College in California. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound athlete has been a force for Cerritos as a defensive end and pairs well with Steve Mboumoua and London Simmons: Alabama’s two interior defensive line commits in 2025.
No. 19 player in 2025 classNo. 4 CB in 2025 class
Not only does Alabama get one of the best cornerbacks in the country in Dijon Lee. It gets one of the biggest, scouting the Mission Viejo, California 6-foot-4, 190-pound athlete as a boundary cornerback with what his high school coach Chad Johnson calls “the arms of a 7-footer.” Alabama has shown it is not afraid to play freshmen in the defensive backfield right away. And while slots are seemingly filled, it may be hard to keep Lee off the field.
QB Keelon Russell: Five-star quarterback, Duncanville, Texas No. 2 player in 2025 classNo. 2 QB in 2025 class
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound quarterback out of Duncanville, Texas looks to be the post-Jalen Milroe era quarterback for the Crimson Tide. Originally an SMU commit, the five-star flipped his pledge to the Crimson Tide in June. The dual-threat quarterback threw for more than 3,600 yards his senior year with 52 touchdowns while also adding more than 250 yards on the ground.
No. 483 player in 2025 classNo. 37 OT in 2025 class
Standing at 6-foot-5, 320-pounds, Waldrep is another addition to the Crimson Tide’s offensive line haul within its 2025 cycle. He is an Alabama native out of Phenix City and has been committed to the Crimson Tide since June. He is also a legacy commitment, his father playing at Alabama from 1998-2002 under Mike DuBose and Dennis Franchione.
Ryan Williams spent his Wednesday morning celebrating with Alabama five-star quarterback Keelon Russell on Instagram live.
No. 521 player in 2025 classNo. 62 DL in 2025 class
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound prospect has been committed to the Crimson Tide since June. Per his Maxpreps, Simmons tallied 67 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss and 11 ½ sacks during his senior year. He is one of three defensive line commits in Alabama’s 2025 class, joining four-star Kevonte Henry and three-star Steve Mboumoua, both of whom are coming to Alabama out of junior college.
No. 182 player in 2025 classNo. 18 OT in 2025 class
Micah DeBose is only one of a handful of Alabama natives joining Kalen DeBoer’s first recruiting class with the Crimson Tide, committing to Alabama June 22. While DeBose is listed as an offensive tackle and primarily played left tackle at Theodore High School in Mobile, he could be in line for either tackle or guard spots standing at 6-foot-5, 315 points. DeBose is ranked as the No. 182 player in the 2025 class.
No. 3 junior college player in 2025 classNo. 3 junior college DL in 2025 class
The three-star Canada native will come to Alabama out of Southwest Mississippi Community College, having originally been a member of Alabama’s 2023 signing class. Mboumoua is originally from Cameroon and grew up a soccer player. Per 247Sports, he primarily played EDGE and linebacker in Canada but moved to the defensive line while playing at Southwest Mississippi.
Alabama’s running back class is back down to one. East Lansing four-star running back Jace Clarizio flipped his commitment back to Michigan State, he told On3.
No. 111 player in 2025 classNo. 9 LB in 2025 class
Darrell Johnson may be a linebacker in name. But with the four-star athlete out of Dodge County High School in Eastman, Georgia, Alabama has a defensive weapon who can line up off the edge, serve as a traditional middle linebacker or drop back as a safety. Johnson, who committed to the Crimson Tide March 20, 2024, has always wanted to play for Alabama, and now has his chance.
No. 288 player in 2025 classNo. 32 LB in 2025 class
Luke Metz was not sold on Alabama until Kalen DeBoer came to Alabama, turning a March 4 offer into a Crimson Tide commitment three weeks later. In Metz, Alabama sees an athletic and prototypical Will linebacker like Deontae Lawson, one who can play fast and physically in his 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame.
No. 240 player in 2025 classNo. 29 WR in 2025 class
All Lotzeir Brooks has done is produce, breaking New Jersey high school football records with 4,615 receiving yards and 67 touchdown receptions. Brooks is not big, standing at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds. He is not the highest-rated wide receiver Alabama has secured, committing to the Crimson Tide April 13 as a four-star player. But to his high school coach Humberto Ayala, Brooks is an offensive weapon in the same vein as Deebo Samuel.
No. 62 player in 2025 classNo. 7 SAF in 2025 class
With a safety room where playing time is seemingly up for grabs behind DeVonta Smith, Bray Hubbard and Keon Sabb in 2025, Ivan Taylor joins Alabama football to fill in the hole left by Malachi Moore at strong safety. Standing at 6-foot, 174 pounds, Taylor flipped his commitment from Michigan to Alabama. He is also a former Notre Dame commit.
No. 426 player in 2025 classNo. 23 TE in 2025 class
The 6-foot-5, 211-pound prospect is one of the newest additions to Alabama’s 2025 class, flipping his commitment from North Carolina to Alabama in October. He had been committed to the Tar Heels since March. Pritchett will come to the Capstone as one of two tight ends in its 2025 cycle with Kaleb Edwards. He will be a pass catching threat for Alabama with 44 receptions for 621 yards and four touchdowns as a junior in 2023. Pritchett is also an award-winning lacrosse player.
No. 51 player in 2025 classNo. 4 Edge in 2025 class
Justin Hill never wanted to be solely an edge rusher at the college level, which is what made the 2025 Cincinnati four-star linebacker gravitate toward Alabama in the first place over a program like in-state power Ohio State. In Hill, who chose the Crimson Tide July 3, Alabama has its next Wolf linebacker, one who aspires to use his 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame and become the Crimson Tide’s next Dallas Turner or Qua Russaw.
Alabama continues to target a few 2025 recruits heading into the start of the early signing period.
WR Derek Meadows: Alabama is looking to add another wide receiver to pair with Lotzeir Brooks. And with Derek Meadows, it has another extreme, bringing a 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver into the mix with Brooks’ 5-foot-9 frame. Meadows is the No. 119 player and the No. 17 wide receiver in the 2025 class, and is currently committed to LSU. CB Maison Dunn: The Crimson Tide will try a few flips to add cornerback depth to pair with Dijon Lee and Chuck McDonald. One could be Maison Dunn, the Tupelo, Mississippi native and Ole Miss commit who just reported an Alabama offer in November. Dunn is the No. 213 player and the No. 22 cornerback in the 2025 class. SAF Anquon Fegans: Alabama landed Tre’Quon Fegans in the 2022 recruiting class. Now the Crimson Tide are trying to flip his younger brother Anquon Fegans from Auburn in 2025. Anquon Fegans is the No. 58 player, the No. 6 safety and the No. 3 prospect out of Alabama in the class, and would pair with high four-star Ivan Taylor in an Alabama safety class in much need of depth. CB Donovan Starr: Dunn is one target. Four-star Auburn commit Donovan Starr may be another for Alabama to add depth with Lee and McDonald. Starr is the No. 212 prospect and No. 21 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class, standing at 6-foot, 170 pounds. He earned an Alabama offer Oct. 3 and held an official visit with the Crimson Tide for its Missouri game. He reportedly returned to campus for Alabama’s win against Auburn. According to On3, Starr is expected to choose between Alabama, Auburn and Vanderbilt Friday.
Heading into early signing day, Alabama has the second-best recruiting class in the country behind No. 1 Georgia.
Alabama has the third-best average player rating in the 2025 class with four five-star players and 13 four stars.
