The two winningest programs in college football history are about to face off for a seventh time.
Alabama football will take on Michigan in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl Dec. 31 in Tampa, Florida.
The Crimson Tide will try for its first bowl win since beating Kansas State in the 2022 Sugar Bowl, while the Wolverines look to extend their bowl winning streak to three after beating the Crimson Tide and Washington for a College Football Playoff national championship in 2023.

When did Alabama football last play Michigan?
When Alabama faces Michigan in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl, it will be nearly one year to the day that the Crimson Tide last faced the Wolverines.
Alabama lost to Michigan 27-20 in the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Rose Bowl Jan. 1.
Holding a 20-13 lead in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter, Alabama allowed a J.J. McCarthy 4-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson to tie the game with 94 seconds left, forcing overtime. Michigan running back Blake Corum scored a 17-yard touchdown to start overtime before Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe was stuffed by the Wolverines defense two yards from the end zone to secure a Michigan win.
Michigan would go on to win the CFP national championship against Kalen DeBoer and Washington.
When was Alabama’s last win against Michigan?
After a two-loss regular season kept Alabama outside of the College Football Playoff, the Crimson Tide ended the 2019 season in the Citrus Bowl against Michigan and beat the Wolverines 35-16.
Alabama trailed Michigan 16-14 at halftime before the Crimson Tide scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to secure the 19-point win.
Mac Jones had 327 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Wolverines. Most of Jones’ attention was on wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who had 204 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine catches. Najee Harris had 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
