TUSCALOOSA, Ala – It was a much needed bounce back performance in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday as the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the No. 21 Missouri Tigers 34-0.
The Alabama defense pitched a first-half shutout for the second consecutive week and intercepted backup quarterback Drew Pyne three times as the Tigers struggled offensively all afternoon converting just three of 13 on third down.
It took a bit of time for Alabama to get its offense going as they mustered just two field goals from its first five drives of the day. The Crimson Tide got into the endzone on its final drive of the first half to secure a 13-0 halftime lead.
Alabama kept the momentum going by opening the second half with a scoring drive that virtually put the game out of reach.
Jalen Milroe started slowly but finished his day completing 16 of 26 passes for 215 yards he chipped into the running game with 11 carries for 50 yards and one touchdown.
Milroe was helped as both Justice Haynes and Jam Miller had strong performances. Haynes hauled eight carries for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Miller took 11 carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
