Ohio State led all teams with four first-team selections and six total selections across the two teams. Georgia and Michigan were second with three first-team selections each, while Alabama, Notre Dame and LSU each had a pair of first-team selections.
The SEC led all conferences with 10 first-team selections, followed closely by the Big Ten (eight). The ACC finished a distant third with four and the Big 12 had three.
Hunter is looking to become the first defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy since Charles Woodson in 1997, though like Woodson, he would do so on his two-way merits. In the 2023 season, Hunter recorded 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns to go along with 31 tackles and three interceptions at cornerback.
Beck, meanwhile, is looking to lead Georgia back to prominence after the team went through the regular season undefeated but lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, keeping them out of the College Football Playoff in the process.
He was excellent individually last season, however, throwing for 3,738 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 72.4 percent of his passes.
Gordon had a massive 2023 campaign, rushing for 1,732 yards and 21 touchdowns. His rushing yards led the nation, while his rushing touchdowns trailed only Michigan’s Blake Corum (27). He’s looking to become the first running back to win the Heisman since Alabama’s Derrick Henry in 2015.
