University of Alabama students to vote for 2024 homecoming queen

Four students will vie for the title of 2024 homecoming queen at the University of Alabama.

UA students will vote Oct. 22 to determine the winner, and the homecoming queen will be officially announced Oct. 25 during the bonfire and pep rally on the Quad. The homecoming queen and her court will participate in the parade on Oct. 26 and be presented later that day at halftime of the Alabama-Missouri football game.

Hannah Adams

Hannah Adams is a senior from Birmingham. Adams is majoring in political science and public relations with a minor in public policy. She is also a member of the first cohort at the Shelby Institute for Policy and Leadership.

Adams said as queen she would support the UA American Cancer Society On Campus Gold Together for Childhood Cancer team.

Lauren Crawford

Lauren Crawford is a senior from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. Crawford is majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science.

Crawford said as queen she would give back to the Tuscaloosa community through the organizations housed in the Center for Service and Leadership.

Reagan Labiak

Reagan Labiak is a senior from High Point, North Carolina. Labiak is majoring in criminal justice and political science. She is also a member of UA’s rowing team.

Labiak said as queen she would support the National Marrow Donation Program.

Allison Pope

Allison Pope is a senior from Edmond, Oklahoma. Pope is majoring in creative advertising with a minor in cyber criminology.

Pope said as queen she would support the University of Alabama Food Pantry.

According to the Crimson White, UA’s student-run newspaper, Maria Derisavi has dropped out of the race. Her photo is no longer shown on UA’s homecoming website.

Homecoming week at UA will begin Oct. 20 with the 36th annual Roll Tide Run. Other homecoming week events will include the Spades and Lawn games tournament, a bowling competition, a dodgeball competition, a day of service, a choreography competition and the National Panhellenic Council step show.

Kickoff of the homecoming football game will be at either 2:30 or 6 p.m., with the exact time to be announced. The game is sold out, but tickets beginning at around $115 are for sale on www.seatgeek.com.
