They are here.
Over 13,000 convicted murderers who crossed the U.S. southern border have been set free into American cities under the border sanctuary policies executed by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The new bombshell report dropped just hours before Harris was scheduled to land in Douglas, Arizona for a campaign stop to show that she is tough on U.S. border security.
In response to Rep. Gonzales’ specific request for data, DHS disclosed that as of July 21, ICE’s national docket included 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories. Of those, 435,719 were convicted criminals, and 226,847 had pending criminal charges. This number includes 13,099 convicted murderers, 16,000 rapists, 9,400 sexual offenders, 56,000 individuals with drug convictions, 14,000 burglars, and 62,000 violent offenders. The letter outlined ICE’s procedures for making custody determinations, which include evaluating the threat to public safety, risk of flight, and other humanitarian considerations.
Donald Trump today said he has know this for years.
“13,000 people convicted of murder have crossed into our Country through Kamala Harris’ Open Border – NON DETAINED, NON CITIZEN, CONVICTED CRIMINALS! I’ve been saying this from the beginning of the Harris-Biden Administration, as soon as I learned they opened the Borders,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Nobody who has allowed this to happen to our Country is fit to be President of the United States! Bad timing for her to show up to the border today, after not going for four years. Why didn’t she release these numbers earlier?”
DHS noted the decreasing cooperation from certain jurisdictions, some of which have enacted “sanctuary” policies, refusing to honor ICE detainer requests. The department stressed that these policies can shield criminals who may continue to pose public safety risks, particularly in immigrant communities. Despite these challenges, DHS emphasized its commitment to enforcing immigration laws and removing individuals who pose security risks or lack legal grounds to remain in the country.
According to the letter, between mid-May 2023 and the end of July 2024, DHS removed or returned over 893,600 individuals, including more than 138,300 family units. The majority of individuals encountered at the Southwest Border in recent years have been removed, returned, or expelled, reflecting DHS’s prioritization of national security and public safety risks.
