FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football survived a sloppy start, but the Hogs outscored UAB by 24 points over the final 44 minutes of game time in a 37-27 victory Saturday.
The Razorbacks (2-1) fell behind by two scores early in the second half, but a dominant rushing attack that accounted for 267 yards on the ground powered the Hogs to their second win of the season.
Ja’Quinden Jackson ran for 147 yards, and Andrew Armstrong made eight catches for 137 yards. Those two were the stars on an otherwise sluggish day for the offense.
UAB (1-2) was held to just 10 points after a touchdown in the second quarter gave the Blazers a 17-3 advantage. The Blazers consistently hurt Arkansas on short passes that produced yards after the catch.
