Boozman Honored as Champion of America’s Global Leadership

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — United States Senator, John Boozman (R-AR) has been selected by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) as a champion of America's global leadership.

The honor is attributed to his efforts to strengthen U.S. foreign development assistance and humanitarian aid.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) and Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY-05), were among others honored. Boozman said it's an honor to be recognized with strong advocates for American international leadership.

"I have been proud to support foreign assistance programs that not only aid our allies, partners, neighbors and potential new markets, but also serve to bolster U.S. security and economic opportunity," Boozman said.

"I look forward to continuing to champion our nation’s critical role in saving lives, curing disease and feeding the hungry globally, including by ensuring our farmers have the tools and resources necessary to produce a safe and abundant food supply."

President of the USGLC and CEO, Liz Schrayer, said the men and women selected prove America's strength lies in its unity of purpose.

"At a time of rising threats abroad, leaders like Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Senator Susan Collins, Senator John Boozman, and Representative Gregory Meeks prove that America’s strength lies in its unity of purpose,” Schrayer said. "They get it: Showing up on the world stage with effective diplomacy and global development isn’t just about helping others, it’s about making a difference for America’s kitchen table issues.

"It’s how we outcompete China, safeguard our security, and grow our economy. I’m enormously proud to see USGLC once again bring together hundreds of bipartisan leaders from across the public and private sectors for this annual celebration of change-makers—because when these champions lead, America wins.”

Boozman, being a ranking member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, and serving as co-chair of the Senate Hunger Caucus, has passed a bounty of policies to combat global food insecurity.

Boozman joined the USGLC in 2023 for its inaugural South Summit in Little Rock., highlighting how Arkansas and other states in the South are impacted by America's leadership abroad.
