Club news: “Artificial Intelligence and Scams” topic of discussion at next Bella Vista Computer Club | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

The Friends of the West Fork Library, in partnership with the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, recently presented a $1,500 grant to the West Fork Library Teen Talk Lepidoptera (butterfly) club. Club meetings are on the first and third Thursdays of each month, beginning the third Thursday of January and ending the first Thursday of December. Ongoing event and program information can be found at the West Fork Library Facebook page. The club is open to regional teens and tweens (with parental permission). Butterfly Club students interactively learn butterfly, moth, caterpillar, chrysalis and cocoon anatomy, sow and transplant native host and nectar plants to bolster annual butterfly pollinator life cycles and biodiversity in downtown West Fork, beginning with the Story Garden development. Fall activities will include designing, painting and installing a spirit pole, as well as the pergola in the Story Garden. The group is beginning to design products for donation to the Friends of the West Fork Library autumn benefit sale, which includes bookmarks, butterfly pins, card packs and stickers. Bella Vista Computer Club

The Bella Vista Computer Club will discuss “Artificial Intelligence and Scams” at its next meeting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12 in the Highland Crossing training center located at 1801 Forest Hills Blvd in Bella Vista. For more Information: visit bvcomputerclub.org/index.php

Bella Vista Photography Club

The Bella Vista Photography Club will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 15 at the First Community Bank located at 21196 U.S. 71 in Pineville, Mo. The topic of the meeting will be cell phone photography.

The Bella Vista Photography Club is designed for photographers of all levels from Bella Vista and the surrounding area. The club has speakers, field trips and other activities that promote the development of skills and friendships. There are monthly contests and an annual contest with the winners publicly displayed.
