Faymonville Group, a European company making truck trailers able to handle payloads from 16.5 tons to nearly 28 tons, is establishing a $100 million U.S. manufacturing presence in Arkansas.
“Our low taxes and strong workforce sold Faymonville on Little Rock for their first U.S. facility. With access to road, river, rail and the ability to get things done quickly, our capital city is proving itself as a manufacturing and logistics hub,” said Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders in an Oct. 29 release.
The Luxembourg-based company specializes in oversized-load and special transport equipment, including semi-lowloaders, flatbed trailers, lowbed trailers and drawbar trailers. Faymonville also manufactures self-propelled modular vehicles and recently opened an office in Singapore to handle its Asia-Pacific business.
“We look forward to becoming part of this community and making a positive impact. We’re eager to get started and can’t wait to see the ‘made in America’ label on our vehicles soon,” Yves and Alain Faymonville said in a joint statement. The brothers operate the seventh-generation family business, which employs 1,400 people across facilities in Luxembourg, Belgium, Italy and Poland.

Faymonville makes 3,000 units annually. Its vehicles, sent to 125 countries, generated $500 million in revenue in 2023.
The company selected the Port of Little Rock for its U.S. operations. Initial plans include a 409,000-square-foot facility for manufacturing components, with a Phase 2 expansion to 624,000 square feet for in-house production. The site will also provide service and spare parts support for Cometto-branded vehicles.
Once fully operational, the facility will create 500 jobs. “Our new location offers exciting career opportunities for driven and passionate specialists in steel construction, surface treatment, final assembly, as well as various office roles — all within a company culture that values pragmatism and straightforward communication,” said Lisa Faymonville, human resources manager for Faymonville Group.

Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said the new company operations will result in hundreds of high-wage jobs for residents and enhance future port development opportunities.
“Faymonville is known for its technology and innovation with a focus on sustainable production,” Scott said. “Their site at the Port of Little Rock provides access to road, river, rail and runway — intersecting in the heart of the state’s Capital City.”
According to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, the project is likely to create 389 indirect and associated jobs in Little Rock and surrounding communities, while having an economic impact of $239 million in the state.
“We don’t just supply special vehicles, we provide comprehensive transport solutions,” said Paul Hönen, Faymonville U.S. market representative. “We proudly delivered our first vehicle to the U.S. in 2016. What we particularly value about the U.S. market is its enormous potential, its practical, solution-driven mindset, and the much simpler administration compared to Europe.”
Clay McGeorge, Little Rock Port Authority Board chair, welcomed the company to the port. He said the industrial park was committed to supporting global organizations in efforts to bring more jobs to the area. “This foreign direct investment not only helps the port accomplish its primary objectives; it also further solidifies the role our industrial park plays on the central Arkansas economy,” McGeorge said.
