Mid-America Arts Alliance offering third cohort of $10,000 grants to 25 artists

Arkansas artists have more opportunities in 2025 to receive $10,000 fellowships through Catalyze, a Mid-America Arts Alliance program that is expanding its reach to 31 counties, including 15 from the Arkansas Delta. Starting in 2023 and previously focused on Central Arkansas alone, Catalyze has so far awarded grants to two 25-person cohorts of artists. Another 25 grants will be given out next year.

Creatives of all disciplines — actors, dancers, musicians, filmmakers, writers and beyond — are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, artists must be residents of Arkansas, Chicot, Clay, Cleburne, Conway, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Desha, Drew, Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Greene, Hot Spring, Jefferson, Lee, Lonoke, Mississippi, Monroe, Perry, Phillips, Poinsett, Pope, Prairie, Pulaski, Saline, St. Francis, Van Buren, White or Yell counties.

Catalyze, funded by the Windgate Foundation, is designed to help artists reach their full potential by combining financial help with professional development and other forms of support. The unrestricted grants can be used for equipment, travel, studio space, child care and more.

Anyone interested in applying can check out this resource page for additional information as well as a spot to sign up for individual support sessions. This video might also be useful.

Applications close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
