Bank of America branch closures continue in California, according to reports shared by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In 2023, several financial institutions, including Bank of America, announced mass location closures, and this year, a few more closures are expected, but in smaller numbers.
According to the banks, the closures have occurred because customers’ banking needs have changed, as more and more transactions can be carried out outside of physical branches.
As financial institutions look to adapt to the online banking trend, some of their branches are no longer profitable, resulting in the decision to close them. Here is a list of the branches that could begin to close in California starting this month.
