Two convenience-store retailers and two service providers for the c-store industry garnered spots on Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 2024 ranking of the fastest growing private companies in the United States.
The Inc. 5000 class of 2024 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2020.
Retailers
Convenience-store chain Weigel’s, Knoxville, Tennessee, ranked No. 4,717. Weigel’s three-year growth was 83%, Inc. said. The family-owned retailer has more than 80 locations that include c-stores, a dairy barn and a bakery all within 110-mile radius of its headquarters.
Parker’s Corp., Savannah, Georgia, ranked No. 4,744 and its three-year growth was 82%, according to the magazine’s findings.
“What an incredible honor for Parker’s Kitchen to be included on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in America for 2024 for the seventh time,” said Parker’s Kitchen founder and CEO Greg Parker.
The company said he is leading Parker’s through an “ambitious expansion” and plans to open 100 new stores over the next four years in new and existing markets, “doubling the size of the company.”Parker’s has more than 80 stores throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
Suppliers
Mashgin, Palo Alto, California, which makes an artificial intelligence (AI)-based self-checkout system for retailers including c-stores, ranked No. 909 on the Inc. 5000 list. Under the leadership of Abhiniai Srivastava the company reported a 554% three-year growth, the magazine reported. In 2023, Mashgin held the No. 748 spot.
D&H United Fueling Solutions, San Antonio, Texas, a supplier of petroleum fuel system equipment, installation and service in the Southwest, ranked No. 3,117 on this year’s list. The company was founded in 2015 and reported a 159% three-year growth, according to Inc.
