2nd Annual El Mariachi Vicla Run Gears Up to Support Underprivileged Youth in Colorado Springs and El Paso County

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The 2nd Annual El Mariachi Vicla Run is set to hit the streets of Colorado Springs tomorrow, September 7, with hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts, community members, and supporters coming together for an incredible cause.

The event, sponsored by Harley Davidson and the Foundation for Advancement and Education (FAE), promises a day of family-friendly fun, culture, and charity—all in support of underprivileged youth.

A Ride with a Purpose

This isn’t your average motorcycle run. The El Mariachi Vicla Run was created with the purpose of raising funds for scholarships aimed at providing opportunities to young individuals in need from Colorado Springs and El Paso County. All proceeds from the event will be awarded as scholarships to help these students pursue higher education and realize their academic dreams.

“We wanted to do more than just celebrate our love for motorcycles,” said Gene Sanche, one of the event organizers. “We saw a need in our community, especially among the youth, and we knew this was a way to give back and make a lasting impact.”

What to Expect

The event kicks off in the morning with registrations at 8 a.m. at America the Beautiful park, followed by the Vicla Run — a scenic ride through the streets of Colorado Springs that will bring together some of the most beautifully customized “Vicla” style motorcycles. Riders can expect a fun and engaging route, with stops along the way to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow bikers and supporters.

In addition to the ride, attendees can look forward to:

Community Impact

The scholarships awarded through the El Mariachi Vicla Run have a profound impact on the lives of local students. Last year, the event raised thousands of dollars, helping several young people access education that they otherwise couldn’t afford.

Whether you ride or just want to enjoy the day’s activities, everyone is welcome. Registration is open to all riders, and the event is free for those who just want to come out and show support.
