COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – More nonstop flights to Chicago will soon be taking off from the Colorado Springs Airport!
The airport announced Monday that after more than four years, American Airlines would be bringing back service to one of the nation’s biggest travel hubs!
“We could not be happier to welcome back such crucial service to our community,” said Greg Phillips, director of aviation for the Colorado Springs Airport. “This service is a win for the airport and our city.”
Pre-COVID, American Airlines offered flights to Chicago O’Hare, but as with so many things during the pandemic, that service was suspended. In the years since, travelers have still had the option to use United Airlines, or take Southwest to Midway. Starting in June 2025, they can use American Airlines too!
“American is pleased to offer nonstop service from Colorado Springs to our Chicago O’Hare hub,” said Jordan Pack, American’s director of domestic network planning. “Complementing existing service to Dallas/Fort Worth, this new service will offer customers convenient connections and shorter travel times on American to cities across the Midwest, Northeast, and abroad to destinations in Europe including Barcelona and Italy’s Amalfi Coast.”
The airport says travelers can start booking their flights now on the American Airlines website or app!
