US Election Results 2024 Live Updates: After a keenly contested election, millions of US voters seem to have delivered Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump a second non-consecutive stint in the Oval office. As for electoral college numbers, which determine the winner in this election, Trump is currently leading with 267, on the cusp of a landslide victory over his Democratic presidential rival Kamala Harris, who is trailing with 214 votes.
Addressing a sea of jubilant supporters, Trump said, “Result will help our country heal.” Reflecting on the results, the Republican presidential nominee stated, “US has never seen anything like this,” Trumps adds as he calls the presidential elections 2024 the “greatest political movement ever”.
Trump was joined on stage by members of his family and his wife, Melania Trump, as well as his running mate, JD Vance, and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
“We’ve made history for a reason tonight, and the reason is going to be just that we overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible,” Trump told cheering supporters. “It’s a political victory that our country has never seen before.”
“We will seal our borders immediately,” said Donald Trump stressing that one can now enter the US via a legal route only adding, “No illegal migrants will enter America.”
