Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to become the 47th president of the United States.
“This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country,” he told supporters Wednesday morning in Palm Beach, Florida.
Trump secured key victories in battleground states — North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania — late Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, boosting his chances of victory. When the Associated Press called Wisconsin for Trump, it put him over the 270 electoral votes required to win.
At 78 years old, Trump is the oldest man to be elected president.
Full election results from the Associated Press are available below.
In Colorado’s U.S. House races, Democratic incumbents Diana DeGette (District 1), Joe Neguse (District 2), Jason Crow (District 6) and Brittany Petterson (District 7) all won reelection.
Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, who switched her reelection bid from the 3rd District to the more Republican-voting 4th District, was also reelected to Congress.
Other congressional races in Colorado were too close to call as of 3 a.m. Wednesday.
