‘The President’s Own’ United States Marine Band to perform in Walla Walla & Kennewick
TRI-CITIES, WA. – For the first time in 10 years, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band is returning to Kennewick and Walla Walla as part of the band’s Coast to Coast tour through the states of Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Oregon, Utah, Washington and West Virginia.
The band will be performing a free 7:30 p.m. concert on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Walla Walla High School main gym before traveling to Kennewick to perform a free 7:30 p.m. concert on Monday, Oct. 28 at Kennewick High School.
Free tickets for the Walla Walla concert became available starting Thursday, Sept. 26 (limit 4 per request). Seating is general admission any remaining seats will be released to the standby line at the time of the performance. Tickets for the Kennewick Concert will become available starting Saturday, Oct. 28.
The Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization. Founded in 1798, the band has performed for every U.S. President since John Adams. Known as “The President’s Own” since the days of Thomas Jefferson, the Marine Band’s mission is to provide music for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps.
