As one of the country’s “spookiest states,” Pennsylvania is a hotbed of paranormal activity from haunted houses to roads to schools (and on and on and on).
Ghosts, too, have been rumored to haunt the halls of many a Pennsylvanian hotel. Kind of like this one, which is apparently one of the most haunted hotels in the United States.
Airport Parking Reservations — which, as the name implies (and as according to its about page), is a “trusted source for airport parking, helping you research, find, and book the parking space that best suits your needs, at the best possible price” — published a report to its blog covering the “13 Most Haunted Hotels in America.”
And, what do you know? The Logan Inn in New Hope, Bucks County, is right there, sitting in the number 12 spot.
“Built in 1722 as a tavern the Logan Inn, now plays host to numerous spirits — including the mother of the former owner, Emily, who plays tricks on guests by rearranging their luggage and playing with the room’s heater,” reads the report. “The general manager says, ‘Emily is what they call the spirit that roams the halls. When she was living she used to live in the inn.
“’The things that still remain that belong to Emily is the bed that people sleep in and the portrait on the wall…She passed away in this bed.’”
Other haunted locations including on the Airport Parking Reservations list were the Stanley Hotel in Colorado — which many of you may recognize as the inspiration behind Stephen King’s “The Shining” — as well as the RMS Queen Mary Hotel in California.
But remember, in the words of the report, while “YOU can check out [of these places] anytime you’d like…the ghosts never leave!”
