Has USA ever hosted the Copa America before? Record of host nations for previous tournaments and how many have won

Copa America trophy

The USA is all set to welcome the top national sides from CONCACAF and CONMEBOL for this summer’s Copa America tournament.

As part of their build up to hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside Canada and Mexico, the USA will host games from coast to coast, with fixtures on the schedule in New Jersey, Florida, Texas and California.

The pressure of being a host nation can have a galvanizing impact on both the team and the nation, as seen in previous Copa America tournaments and the FIFA World Cup.

Gregg Berhalter will be hoping to use the home crowd as a huge motivator this summer, with the USA looking to build on their semifinal spot in 2016.
